Geekbench test shows result for alleged Vivo V30 Lite/Y100 4G variant

Vivo is believed to be preparing the 4G variant of either the V30 Lite or Y100. The speculation started after an unnamed smartphone, which carries a model number related to the two mentioned models, was spotted on a Geekbench test.

Both Vivo V30 Lite and Y100 are already available in 5G variants. However, the Chinese brand is likely to offer the 4G versions of smartphones in the future. This is not surprising as rival companies like Xiaomi are doing the same in order to target the low-end market and entice more customers to embrace their brand. For instance, Poco India CEO Himanshu Tandon recently teased that the company would release an “affordable” 5G smartphone to the Indian market. Of course, offering a 4G smartphone would make the price of the offer more affordable, and it seems this is the path Vivo is planning to take.

In a recent test on Geekbench, a smartphone with model number V2342 was spotted. Based on past reports and Bluetooth SIG certifications, the number is directly linked to V30 Lite and Y100, meaning that the model will be a variant of either of the two models.

According to the Geekbench details of the smartphone, the unit tested could be using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset due to its octa-core processor boasting an Adreno GPU and a 2.80GHz maximum clock speed. Aside from this, the unit has an 8GB RAM and runs on Android 14. Ultimately, the smartphone registered 478 single-core score and 1,543 multi-core score.

Unfortunately, aside from these things, no other details were shared. Yet, if it is true that the model will only be a variant of the V30 Lite or Y100, there is a huge possibility that it could also borrow some of the current features and hardware of the models. Yet, of course, one should not expect that the model would be as identical as V30 Lite or Y100 in terms of other sections.
