AnTuTu regularly categorizes newly launched smartphones every month and lists the best smartphones in their class. AnTuTu divides smartphones into three different classes: Flagship, Sub-flagship and Mid-range. In the AnTuTu list of best smartphones released last month, the Xiaomi 12 Pro was the best flagship smartphone. The Black Shark 5 Pro was named the best flagship smartphone in April, and Xiaomi keeps its place on two months.
AnTuTu’s April 2022 Best Phones List – Flagship Phones
The top 3 best smartphones come from Black Shark, Red Magic, and Lenovo, respectively. AnTuTu 2022 ranked the best flagship smartphone for the month of April, the Black Shark 5 Pro with a score of 1,062,747. Further down the list, the Red Magic 7 Pro is second with a score of 1,032,494 and the Lenovo Legion Y90 is third with a score of 1,023,934. All three top smartphones use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Qualcomm’s latest chipset, is extremely powerful with a good cooling system, even though there is often talk about overheating problems.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset is a flagship class chipset that competes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. #4 on the list of best flagship smartphones is the Vivo X80, which uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. The rest of the list includes phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro, Vivo X Note, iQOO Neo6, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Realme GT2 Pro. The Xiaomi 12 Pro was chosen the best flagship phone of March by AnTuTu.
Best Sub-Flagship Phones
Xiaomi also takes first place in the sub-flagship smartphone category of AnTuTu’s April 2022 best phones list. The Redmi K50 equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset is in first place with a score of 814,032. Second on the list is the Realme GT Neo 3, which uses the same chipset as the Redmi K50. Realme GT Neo 3 is scored 811,881 points, similar to the Redmi K50. Other smartphones on the list are iQOO Neo5 with Snapdragon 870 chipset, Realme GT Neo2, Realme GT Master Explorer Edition, iQOO Neo5 SE, OPPO Reno6 Pro+ 5G, iQOO Neo5, OPPO Find X3, and Realme GT Neo2T with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.
Best Mid-range Phones
The list of mid-range smartphones mainly consists of smartphones with Snapdragon 778G and 780G. There is only one model in the list with the MediaTek chipset. The best smartphone in the flagship category of AnTuTu’s April 2022 best phones list is the iQOO Z5 with a score of 572,188. In second place is the Xiaomi Civi 1S with a score of 555,714, and in third place is the HONOR 60 Pro with a score of 547.886.
Other smartphones on the list are the OPPO Reno7 5G, Realme Q3s, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G, HONOR 60, HONOR 50 Pro, HONOR 50 and HUAWEI Nova 9. The 9th place HONOR 50 and the 10th place HUAWEI Nova 9 are exactly the same, except software differences.
