Leaker: Vivo X100 Ultra to launch in May; Monicker is ‘confirmed’ https://xiaomiui.net/vivo-x100-ultra-may-debut-monicker-confirmed-54779/ Sun, 21 Apr 2024 09:30:20 +0000 https://xiaomiui.net/?p=54779 The Vivo is reportedly using the “X100 Ultra” monicker for its new device, which will launch next month.

That’s according to well-known account leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo. It echoes earlier reports about the device’s launch date, which was pushed from April to May. DCS claims this will indeed be the case, ensuring that fans will soon be able to hear about it next month. Additionally, the tipster revealed that the “X100 Ultra” branding name would be used for the handheld.

Information about the device is still limited, but Vivo itself is already teasing fans about its power. Days ago, Huang Tao, Vice President for Products at Vivo, suggested that the long wait for the X100 Ultra would be justified by its imaging capability. As the executive suggested, the device will have a powerful camera system, directly describing it as “a professional camera that can make calls.” Tao didn’t directly name the handheld, but given the recent reports, it can be assumed that the executive is referring to the X100 Ultra.

According to earlier reports, the Vivo X100 Ultra will be armed with a high-powered camera system. As per leaks, the system will be made of a 50MP LYT-900 main camera with OIS support, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with up to 200x digital zoom, a 50 MP IMX598 ultra-wide lens, and an IMX758 telephoto camera.

Unsurprisingly, the model will also be well-equipped in other sections, with its SoC rumored to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC chip. Moreover, earlier reports claimed that the model will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support. Outside, it will sport a Samsung E7 AMOLED 2K screen display, which is expected to offer high peak brightness and an impressive refresh rate.

Certification site listings reveal several Vivo Y38 5G details, including design https://xiaomiui.net/vivo-y38-5g-detail-design-leak-54776/ Sun, 21 Apr 2024 09:28:46 +0000 https://xiaomiui.net/?p=54776 The Vivo Y38 5G model has made another appearance on two more certification databases, giving us more information about it before it launches next month.

The handheld is expected to be announced in May. With this, spotting the device on various platforms is not entirely surprising as it is certain that Vivo is now preparing for its launch. Now, it seems Vivo is continuously making progress in the preparation of its announcement, as it has been now on IMDA and NCC certification sites after its earlier appearances on the Bluetooth SIG website and Geekbench.

In the listings, the device also carries the same V2343 model number linked to it. According to its IMDA listing, the device will indeed be armed with 5G and NFC capabilities alongside support for several 5G bands (n1, n3, n7, n8, n28, n38, n41, and n78).

On the other hand, the NCC certification shares the charging adapter and battery model numbers of the device, suggesting the possibility of the model being armed with a 6000mAh battery and support for 44W fast charging capability. Aside from this, the listing shows the Vivo Y38 5G in various angles, revealing its rear camera island design, which is rounded, surrounded by a metal ring, and placed in the upper left corner of the back. It is believed that the module will house two sensors with an LED flash. It also has a flat display and back, with its rounded edges and sides being covered by a metal frame. In front, there is a punch hole cutout in the upper middle section of the screen for the selfie camera.

According to earlier reports, the Vivo Y38 5G will offer 8GB of RAM, with its storage coming at 128GB or 256GB. The storage capacity is reportedly available for expansion up to 1TB through the handheld’s card slot. Ultimately, the Y38 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, complemented by the Android 14 system.

Redmi Note 13 5G series receives HyperOS update in India https://xiaomiui.net/redmi-note-13-5g-series-hyperos-update-in-india-54774/ Sun, 21 Apr 2024 09:27:08 +0000 https://xiaomiui.net/?p=54774 Xiaomi has made another progress in the rollout of its HyperOS in India. This week, the Redmi Note 13 5G series joins the long list of devices that already have the update.

The Redmi Note 13 series is the latest lineup receiving the update. To recall, the lineup arrived in the Indian market with an MIUI system earlier this year. Thankfully, the company promised to include the lineup on the list of devices receiving the update this second quarter.

With this, the Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ users in India can now check the availability of the update on their devices by going to Settings > About Device > Software Update. It is important to note, however, that not every user could receive this right away, as the Chinese giant usually makes the rollouts in batches.

HyperOS will be replacing the old MIUI in certain models of Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco smartphones. The Android 14-based HyperOS comes with several improvements, but Xiaomi noted that the main purpose of the change is “to unify all ecosystem devices into a single, integrated system framework.” This should allow seamless connectivity across all Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices, such as smartphones, smart TVs, smartwatches, speakers, cars (in China for now through the newly launched Xiaomi SU7 EV), and more. Aside from that, the company has promised AI enhancements, faster boot and app launch times, enhanced privacy features, and a simplified user interface while using less storage space.

Latest leak shows Google Pixel 9 Pro from different angles https://xiaomiui.net/google-pixel-9-pro-different-angles-54771/ Sun, 21 Apr 2024 09:25:53 +0000 https://xiaomiui.net/?p=54771 A new leak shows Google Pixel 9 Pro’s different angles, giving us a glimpse at its various design elements, including its new rear camera island.

The search giant will be deviating away from the usual by introducing more models in the new Pixel series. According to reports, the lineup will be composed of the standard Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. One of the models, Pixel 9 Pro, was recently spotted through a leak shared by the Russian website Rozetked.

From the images shared, the design differences between the upcoming series and the Pixel 8 can be spotted. Unlike the earlier series, the rear camera island of the Pixel 9 won’t be from side to side. It will be shorter and will employ a rounded design that will encase the two camera units and the flash. As for its side frames, it can be noticed that it will have a flatter design, with the frame seemingly made of metal. The back of the phone also appears to be flatter as well compared to the Pixel 8, albeit the corners seem to be rounder.

In one of the images, the Pixel 9 Pro was placed next to the iPhone 15 Pro, showing how much smaller it is than the Apple product. As reported earlier, the model will be armed with a 6.1-inch screen, a Tensor G4 chipset, 16GB RAM by Micron, a Samsung UFS drive, the Exynos Modem 5400 modem, and three rear cameras, with one being a periscopic telephoto lens. According to other reports, aside from the things mentioned, the entire lineup will be equipped with new capabilities like AI and emergency satellite messaging features.

Google Pixel 8A to cost $705 in Canada, to offer ₹1K to ₹2K higher price than 7a in India https://xiaomiui.net/google-pixel-8a-canada-india-price-leaks-54769/ Sun, 21 Apr 2024 09:23:40 +0000 https://xiaomiui.net/?p=54769 We now have an idea of how much the upcoming Google Pixel 8A model will cost in Canada and India.

That’s based on the recent revelation made by PassionateGeekz, which spotted the price tag of the device through a Canadian retailer shop. According to the publication, the model will receive a hike in India, noting that its price will be ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 higher than the Pixel 7a in India. To recall, Google announced the device ( 8GB/128GB configuration) with a ₹43,999 price tag last year. If the claim is true, it means that the new price of the upcoming Pixel phone in India could reach up to ₹45,000 for the same configuration.

Meanwhile, the 128GB variant of the model is reportedly going to cost $705 in Canada, while the 256GB option will be offered for $790. If true, this means that Google will implement up to a $144 price increase in the Canadian market.

The Pixel 8a is expected to be announced at Google’s annual I/O event on May 14. As per other reports, the upcoming handheld will offer a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of storage, the smartphone is said to be getting 128GB and 256GB variants.

As usual, the leak echoed earlier speculations that the phone will be powered by a Tensor G3 chip, so don’t expect high performance from it. Unsurprisingly, the handheld is expected to run on Android 14.

In terms of power, the leaker shared that the Pixel 8a will pack a 4,500mAh battery, which is complemented by a 27W charging capability. In the camera section, Brar said that there would be a 64MP primary sensor unit alongside a 13MP ultrawide. In front, on the other hand, the phone is expected to get a 13MP selfie shooter.

Realme India confirms arrival of C65 5G https://xiaomiui.net/realme-india-confirms-arrival-of-c65-5g-54765/ Fri, 19 Apr 2024 09:28:38 +0000 https://xiaomiui.net/?p=54765 Realme has now officially confirmed on X that it will soon introduce the Realme C65 5G in India.

The news follows an earlier leak revealing the features of the said model, alongside a claim that it will be launched in India under the Rs 10,000 price tag. Yet, the launch of the device in the Indian market is unsurprising as it was already anticipated even before the announcement of its LTE variant in Vietnam.

Today’s tease from Realme supports the claims, confirming that the C65 5G will indeed be offered under ₹10K. However, the brand didn’t specify the date of the launch, promising instead that it will be “coming soon.”

The 5G variant of the model is expected to have some differences from its LTE counterpart in Vietnam. To start, an earlier leak claimed that its maximum configuration will only be limited to 6GB/128GB, which is followed by 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB variants. Moreover, compared to the Vietnam version of the device, the 5G variant is reportedly using a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.

Meanwhile, while the LCD of the C65 5G will also have the same 6.67” measurement and 625 nits of maximum brightness, the leak says that the 5G variant will have a higher 120Hz refresh rate (vs. 90Hz in Vietnam). The difference extends to the charging capability of the device, which is reportedly 15W. This is much lower than the 45W of the C65 LTE in Vietnam, but the 5000mAh battery capacity is reportedly being retained.

Ultimately, it seems the camera system of the LTE variant will also be adopted in the 5G version. As per the account, the Realme C65 5G will also have a 50MP main camera with a second lens. The detail of the additional lens is unknown, but it is likely going to be the same AI lens in the LTE version. On the front, on the other hand, the device is believed to also have the same 8MP selfie camera.

New update enables 5.5G in Xiaomi 14 Ultra https://xiaomiui.net/new-update-enables-5-5g-in-xiaomi-14-ultra-54762/ Fri, 19 Apr 2024 09:26:47 +0000 https://xiaomiui.net/?p=54762 Xiaomi has now released the update needed to enable the new 5.5G tech in its Xiaomi 14 Ultra devices in China.

China Mobile recently introduced commercially its new connectivity technology, the 5G-Advanced or 5GA, which is widely known as the 5.5G. It is believed to be 10 times better than the regular 5G connectivity, allowing it to reach 10 Gigabit downlink and 1 Gigabit uplink peak speeds.

To showcase the capability of 5.5G, China Mobile tested the connectivity in Xiaomi 14 Ultra, wherein the device surprisingly made an incredible record. According to the company, “the measured speed of Xiaomi 14 Ultra exceeds 5Gbps.” Specifically, the Ultra model registered 5.35Gbps, which should be somewhere near 5GA’s highest theoretical rate value. China Mobile confirmed the test, with Xiaomi enthusing over the success of its handheld.

With this achievement, Xiaomi wants to extend the 5.5G capability to all of its Xiaomi 14 Ultra devices in China. To do this, the smartphone giant has started the rollout of a new update to enable the ability in handhelds. The 1.0.9.0 UMACNXM update comes at 527MB and should be available now to users in China.

Aside from Xiaomi 14 Ultra, other devices that have already been confirmed to support 5.5G capability include Oppo Find X7 Ultra, Vivo X Fold3 and X100 series, and Honor Magic6 series. In the future, more devices from other brands are expected to embrace the 5.5G network, especially since China Mobile plans to expand the availability of 5.5G in other areas in China. According to the company, the plan is to cover 100 regions in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou first. After this, it will conclude the move to more than 300 cities at the end of 2024.

OnePlus Ace 3 Pro to get Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16GB RAM, 1.5K curved screen, ‘very big’ battery https://xiaomiui.net/oneplus-ace-3-pro-specs-leak-54760/ Fri, 19 Apr 2024 09:25:52 +0000 https://xiaomiui.net/?p=54760 Well-known leaker account Digital Chat Station has revealed more details about the anticipated OnePlus Ace 3 Pro. According to the tipster, the model could be armed with a huge battery, a generous 16GB memory, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, and a 1.5K curved screen.

The Pro model will join the Ace 3 and Ace 3V models that the brand launched in China. According to earlier rumors, it could launch in the third quarter of the year. As the quarter approaches, more leaks about the phone are expected to surface online. The latest includes a set of new details shared by DCS on Weibo, suggesting the Ace 3 Pro will be an impressive handheld that can challenge competitors in the market.

To start, the tipster claims that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, complemented by a 16GB/1TB configuration. This echoes the earlier reports about the chip and storage of the device, but it is also believed to be offered in the 24GB LPDDR5x RAM option.

The tipster also reiterated earlier claims that the Pro model will have a 1.5K resolution curved display, adding that it will be complemented by a metal middle frame with a new coating process and a glass back. As per other reports, the display will be a BOE S1 OLED 8T LTPO display with 6,000 nits peak brightness.

In the camera department, the Ace 3 Pro is reportedly getting a 50Mp main camera, which DCS noted as “unchanged.” According to other reports, it will specifically be a 50MP Sony LYT800 lens.

Ultimately, the phone is getting a huge battery. DCS does not specify in the post how big it will be, but earlier leaks shared that it will have a 6000mAh capacity with 100W fast charging capability. If true, it should make the Ace 3 Pro on the list of few modern devices offering such an enormous battery pack.
