Vivo shared the news this week on X, teasing fans that the phone will offer “a “luxurious experience.” Alongside the announcement, the company revealed the official design of the device, which has a curved display and an elegant rear layout. From the image shared by the brand, the Vivo V30e can be seen sporting a huge circular rear camera module, which houses its two camera lenses and the flash. The image also shows the Vivo V30e in an elegant purple-like shade, with its back sporting two textures.

According to earlier reports, the smartphone will offer fans a 6.78” curved FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, a 5500mAh battery, a Sony IMX882 camera sensor, Blue-Green and Brown-Red color options, Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, 8GB/256GB configuration, virtual RAM support, and NFC.

That’s according to well-known account leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo. It echoes earlier reports about the device’s launch date, which was pushed from April to May. DCS claims this will indeed be the case, ensuring that fans will soon be able to hear about it next month. Additionally, the tipster revealed that the “X100 Ultra” branding name would be used for the handheld.

Information about the device is still limited, but Vivo itself is already teasing fans about its power. Days ago, Huang Tao, Vice President for Products at Vivo, suggested that the long wait for the X100 Ultra would be justified by its imaging capability. As the executive suggested, the device will have a powerful camera system, directly describing it as “a professional camera that can make calls.” Tao didn’t directly name the handheld, but given the recent reports, it can be assumed that the executive is referring to the X100 Ultra.

According to earlier reports, the Vivo X100 Ultra will be armed with a high-powered camera system. As per leaks, the system will be made of a 50MP LYT-900 main camera with OIS support, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with up to 200x digital zoom, a 50 MP IMX598 ultra-wide lens, and an IMX758 telephoto camera.

Unsurprisingly, the model will also be well-equipped in other sections, with its SoC rumored to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC chip. Moreover, earlier reports claimed that the model will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support. Outside, it will sport a Samsung E7 AMOLED 2K screen display, which is expected to offer high peak brightness and an impressive refresh rate.

The handheld is expected to be announced in May. With this, spotting the device on various platforms is not entirely surprising as it is certain that Vivo is now preparing for its launch. Now, it seems Vivo is continuously making progress in the preparation of its announcement, as it has been now on IMDA and NCC certification sites after its earlier appearances on the Bluetooth SIG website and Geekbench.

In the listings, the device also carries the same V2343 model number linked to it. According to its IMDA listing, the device will indeed be armed with 5G and NFC capabilities alongside support for several 5G bands (n1, n3, n7, n8, n28, n38, n41, and n78).

On the other hand, the NCC certification shares the charging adapter and battery model numbers of the device, suggesting the possibility of the model being armed with a 6000mAh battery and support for 44W fast charging capability. Aside from this, the listing shows the Vivo Y38 5G in various angles, revealing its rear camera island design, which is rounded, surrounded by a metal ring, and placed in the upper left corner of the back. It is believed that the module will house two sensors with an LED flash. It also has a flat display and back, with its rounded edges and sides being covered by a metal frame. In front, there is a punch hole cutout in the upper middle section of the screen for the selfie camera.

According to earlier reports, the Vivo Y38 5G will offer 8GB of RAM, with its storage coming at 128GB or 256GB. The storage capacity is reportedly available for expansion up to 1TB through the handheld’s card slot. According to the publication, the model will receive a hike in India, noting that its price will be ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 higher than the Pixel 7a in India. If the claim is true, it means that the new price of the upcoming Pixel phone in India could reach up to ₹45,000 for the same configuration.

As usual, the leak echoed earlier speculations that the phone will be powered by a Tensor G3 chip, so don’t expect high performance from it. Unsurprisingly, the handheld is expected to run on Android 14.

The 5G variant of the model is expected to have some differences from its LTE counterpart in Vietnam. Ultimately, it seems the camera system of the LTE variant will also be adopted in the 5G version. As per the account, the Realme C65 5G will also have a 50MP main camera with a second lens. The detail of the additional lens is unknown, but it is likely going to be the same AI lens in the LTE version. China Mobile recently introduced commercially its new connectivity technology, the 5G-Advanced or 5GA, which is widely known as the 5.5G. It is believed to be 10 times better than the regular 5G connectivity, allowing it to reach 10 Gigabit downlink and 1 Gigabit uplink peak speeds.

The Pro model will join the Ace 3 and Ace 3V models that the brand launched in China. According to earlier rumors, it could launch in the third quarter of the year.
