As you may or may not know, Pixel control center is a grid layout of tiles that are rotated landscape with the size of 2×4. For now you was able to get this by only installing a custom ROM on your device which would replace MIUI. But recently, a mod launched that allows you to get the same Pixel control center in MIUI. As you see, it looks somewhat identical compared to Pixel control center. And thankfully the installation isn’t that hard either, it is just a few steps. Refer to the guide below to install this mod.

Installation

Installation steps are easy. You have to root your Xiaomi device to use this Control Center mod. After rooting, just do 5 easy steps.

• Open Magisk app on your device. You need to have Magisk installed and rooted your device beforehand. If you don’t know how to do that, you can check out our guide.
• Go to the Modules section in the Magisk app. This is where you can manage and install various modules.
• Tap on the “Install from storage” option. This will allow you to browse your device’s storage and select the module zip file to install.
• Pick the module zip file that is provided in the “Download” section of this article.
• Pick a background type for the control center. The mod offers two options: light or dark. You can choose whichever suits your preference and theme while installing with volume buttons.
• Reboot your device once the installation is done. This is necessary for the changes to take effect. After rebooting, you should see the new Pixel control center instead of the MIUI 14 one.

Manu Kumar Jain is leaving Xiaomi!

Manu Kumar Jain is leaving Xiaomi, he posted an Instagram post a while ago clarification of him leaving with a few paragraphs in a picture, which we shown below.

He starts his post with saying;

“Change is the only constant in life.

In 2013, after having co-founded and grown Jabong. I stumbled upon Xiaomi and its unique philosophy of ‘Innovation for everyone’. It resonated a lot with me.”.

Then he keeps going with saying;

“I joined the Xiaomi Group in 2014 to start its India journey. The first few years were full of ups & downs. We started as a one-person start-up, working from a small little office. We were the smallest amongst the hundreds of smartphone brands, that too with limited resources and no prior relevant industry experience. But due to the efforts of a fantastic team, we were able to build one of the most loved brands in the country.”, which he explains his start and success in his carrier.

Then, the post continues with;

“After building a strong team and business, I wished to help other markets with our learnings. With this intention, moved abroad -1.5 years ago (in July 2021), and subsequently joined the Xiaomi International team. I am proud of the strong India leadership team that continues to work independently and tirelessly to enable millions of Indians with the latest technology.”, which he explains how he wanted to help others and with that intention he entered Xiaomi International team. He also states that he was proud of his old team as well.

Then, he explains more with;

“After nine years, I am moving on from the Xiaomi Group. I feel confident that now is the right time, as we have strong leadership teams across the world. I wish the Xiaomi teams globally all the best and hope they achieve even greater success.”, which is saying he is leaving and he wishes best luck to all of the Xiaomi teams.

Then, there is another important part saying;

“Over the next few months. I will take some time-off, before taking up my next professional challenge. I am a builder at heart and would love to build something new, ideally in a new industry. I am proud of having been a small part of the ever growing startup community, twice. I hope to return to it with another fulfilling challenge.”, which clarifies he is also planning about a new thing just like he did on Xiaomi.

Then, he also says;

“Nothing is impossible if people with the right intent come together. If you have interesting ideas that can empower millions, I would love to talk.”, stating that if anyone has such thing just like Xiaomi where that it affected millions of people, he is up for it.

Then, he ends the post by saying the famous Xiaomi quote;

“Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen!”, he says.

Manu Kumar Jain’s departure from Xiaomi marks the end of a successful chapter in the company’s history. Jain’s unwavering commitment and leadership helped establish Xiaomi as a leading player in the Indian smartphone market and his impact on the company will not be forgotten. POCO X5 5G Series Launched Soon

As you can see in the above picture, and along with a post by POCO, the device is confirmed to be officially launched on February 6. The device is not released yet, and the date is its launch date that is planned by POCO. We will update this article with more information when the device is released along with the full other release events by POCO and Xiaomi, so keep following us.

POCO X5 5G Series Officially Confirmed

As we released this article a while ago, now this is actually confirmed. There is a banner on AliExpress saying “New POCO X Series Coming Soon!”. You can refer to the image below.

• Download the module.
• Open Magisk.
• Tap “Modules”.

• On the file picker/chooser, choose the zip/module file that you downloaded a while ago.

• Once done, just tap “reboot”.

MIUI’s default launcher has a home screen with a fixed dock at the bottom, and swiping right on the home screen brings up multiple pages of apps installed on the device. It’s called “MIUI Launcher” on normal terms, although MIUI filters it as “System Launcher” on search. And recently we made an article about MIUI Launcher getting a new folder update where it allowed you to change the sizes of the folders. And now, they added 3×3 as an option to use, which we will explain in this article.

New 3×3 folders in MIUI Launcher

To get this new layout of folders, you need to have the latest MIUI Launcher. You can refer to this article to see the all features, and this article on how to update it.

As you can see in the above pictures, there is a new 3×3 folder layout on the MIUI Launcher. As mentioned above, you can update to the latest MIUI Launcher to get this new feature.

How to use the 3×3 folders in MIUI Launcher

Using this feature is simple. Just follow the steps below.

First of all, create a folder, then hold on to it, until you see the “Edit folder” button. Once you see it, tap on it.

Once you tap it, this page will open. Here, tap “XXL”.

Once you choose it, tap the tick button on the top right to apply it.

And with that, you’re done! Now you have the new 3×3 folder layout on MIUI Launcher.
