Oppo official: There will be no wide Find foldable model https://xiaomiui.net/oppo-no-wide-find-foldable-model-62820/ Tue, 08 Apr 2025 06:57:27 +0000 https://xiaomiui.net/?p=62820 Zhou Yibao, the Oppo Find series product manager, underscored that the Find series will never have a wide-folding model.

Aside from introducing bigger batteries, smartphone manufacturers are exploring new display concepts to attract buyers. Huawei is the latest one to do it by introducing the Huawei Pura X, which boasts a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Due to its unique ratio, the Pura X appears to be a flip phone with a wide display. In general, the Huawei Pura X measures 143.2mm x 91.7mm when unfolded and 91.7mm x 74.3mm when folded. It has a 6.3″ main display and a 3.5″ external screen. When unfolded, it is used as a regular vertical flip phone, but its orientation changes when it is closed. Despite this, the secondary display is pretty spacious and allows a variety of actions (camera, calls, music, etc.), allowing you to use the phone even without unfolding it.

According to rumors, two brands are trying this kind of display. In a recent post, one fan asked Zhou Yibao whether the company is also planning to release the same device. However, the manager directly dismissed the possibility, noting that the Find series will never have a model with a wide display.
