Xiaomi 12S Ultra was launched today on Xiaomi event, July 4. Xiaomi’s top tier flagships has exclusive features on camera and performance. Here’s everything about Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Similar to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra support Dolby Atmos.
MIUI 13 is the operating system, running on top of Android 12 out of the box. Xiaomi 12S Ultra has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and weighs 225g. It features a leather-like rear surface and is available in Classic Black and Verdant Green.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra Display
Display of Xiaomi 12S Ultra is same as Xiaomi 12S Pro. Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Pro feature a 6.73” AMOLED color display with E5 luminescent material that deliver a professional level of detail, brightness and color performance, in addition to a peak brightness of 1500 nits, 2K resolution, P3 color gamut, and 1-120Hz AdaptiveSync Pro. Xiaomi 12S is slightly more compact at just 6.28”, and also supports P3 color gamut display, HDR10+, and 120Hz AdaptiveSync.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra Battery
Xiaomi 12S Ultra features a 4860 mAh of capacity on its battery. It uses Surge G1 and Surge P1 chip to avoid battery wear happening in a short period. Xiaomi 12S Pro offers 120W charging but sadly 12S Ultra can be charged at 67W maximum.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra Camera
Xiaomi and Leica worked together on Xiaomi 12S series all the models have color tuning made by Leica. 12S Ultra featuring a 1″ sensor created by Sony. Leica brought 2 different modes called as “Leica Authentic” and “Leica Vibrant”.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra can shoot in Dolby Vision. It can take 10 bit RAW images and 8K videos. Xiaomi stated that they worked together with Adobe to optimize RAW images.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra is the first Android phone to offer Dolby Vision HDR recording on video side. Both in 4K and FullHD, the 10-bit H265 videos are recorded in HLG using the Rec.2020 color space. In comparison to 1080p, which offers 60 FPS at 55Mbps and 30 FPS at 35Mbps, 4K offers 30 FPS and 60 FPS at up to 80Mbps.

Xiaomi kept both phones running WeChat app for 1 hour in a room with 25 degrees temperature. Xiaomi 12S Ultra got heated to 29.5 degrees and iPhone 13 Pro Max did to 31.2 degrees.
And in this one, the test is conducted in a temperature of 35 degrees enviroment.
