Xiaomi’s Poco is expected to release a new smartphone targeting the budget market. Poco C61 is scheduled to be released this month, with its price reportedly ranging from $100 to $120.
The new model will be joining the lineup of the C series. Yet, despite its prices, the smartphone is expected to offer decent features and specifications, including Bluetooth 5.4.
The model is believed to be largely similar to the Redmi A3, which is also one of the plethora of smartphones under Xiaomi. According to the declaration details of the models in the Bureau of Indian Standards, their model numbers are highly similar (with Poco C61 being 2312BPC51H and Redmi A3 being 23129RN51H), ultimately suggesting that they are directly related. In a way, the new C61 could be a rebranded device under Poco, offering the same features as the earlier Redmi A3 model.
In that case, fans can also expect that the MediaTek Helio G36 (or G95) SoC should also be in C61, alongside other features and specifications already present in the A3. Of course, not everything will be exactly the same in the new Poco smartphone, so expect some variations, including in the display size. While the A3 has 6.71 inches of display, the C61 could have a bit smaller or bigger display, with some reports claiming it would be at 720 x 1680 6.74 inches with a 60 Hz refresh rate.
Other details believed to be arriving at the Poco C61 include an 8MP main camera, 4 GB RAM and 4 GB virtual RAM, 128 internal storage and memory card slot up to 1TB, 4G connection, and a 5000mAh battery.
