Zhou Yibao, product manager of the Oppo Find series, said that the leaked alleged design of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra is fake.
Recently, some photos of the rumored Oppo Find X8 Ultra have surfaced online. However, Zhou Yibao revealed in a recent post on Weibo that the phone would not actually look like that. Instead, the photos reportedly feature an internal trial model, which is aimed at preventing the leak of the actual device.
The news follows an earlier leak showing the schematic of the phone’s camera island. According to a leaker on Weibo, the handheld has a circular camera island on its back. However, it will have a dual-tone design. The account also noted that it would have a dual-tier construction, meaning that some portion of the module would protrude more than the rest.
According to Zhou Yibao, despite claims and rumors, the highly-anticipated Oppo Find X8 Ultra’s launch timeline remains set for April.
