Redmi Note 11, with codename of “spes” powered by Snapdragon 680 4G ship serves enough power for daily usage, meanwhile there’s also a similar device which is Redmi Note 10 with codename of “mojito” that uses Snapdragon 678. This post compares them generally both.
Most of Redmi Note 11 users are seemingly fine with the device as it goes good enough for most people’s daily driver phone. Though this might seem something fine, Redmi Note 10 can be a competitor to this device as it got some similar specs. So here’s the comparaision. You can see all specifications of Redmi Note 11 from here. You can see specifications of Redmi Note 10 from here.
Processor
As mentioned above, Note 11 uses Snapdragon 680 and Note 10 uses Snapdragon 678. 678 is kind of an enhancement over 675 with Samsung’s 11nm manufacturing technology. Here’s a part from our other comparaision post;
“If we check the CPU part of Snapdragon 678 in detail, it has 2 Cortex-A76 performance cores that can reach 2.2GHz clock speed and 6 Cortex-A55 power efficiency cores that can reach 1.8GHz clock speed. Although if we check the CPU part of Snapdragon 680 in detail, it has 4 Cortex-A73 performance cores that can reach 2.4GHz clock speed and 4 efficiency-oriented Cortex-A53 cores with 1.8GHz clock speed.” As 680 has afew heating issues, 678 is the winner in processor. Here’s also a benchmark in Geekbench 5 in both processors;
So if you’re looking for CPU performance, Redmi Note 10 is the winner in this one.
Display
As many people know, higher refresh rate means more smoothness(don’t forget this still also depends in processor)in phone itself. In display, Redmi Note 11 easily overtakes Redmi Note 10 in this one. Redmi Note 10 has a 60 hertz screen that is Super AMOLED and 400 nits. As said, Redmi Note 11 overtakes this one. It has 90 hertz that is AMOLED and 700 nits. If you’re looking for smoothness, Redmi Note 11 is the one but although keep in mind this might show some difference in games, as Redmi Note 11 has a worse processor. About the quality, both phones have exact same resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels which is 20:9 ratio.
Battery
In battery, Redmi Note 11 also overtakes Redmi Note 10 because of more features. Although the battery itself is the same which is Li-Po 5000 mAh in both devices. Redmi Note 10 only produces 33W fast charging meanwhile Redmi Note 11 also produces Power Delivery 3.0 and Quick Charge 3+. But it doesn’t end yet. Redmi Note 11 has a lower processor nm techlonogy, so you should be getting pretty same times in both devices.
Software
In terms of software, Redmi Note 10 falls behind in this one as well, for now. Redmi Note 11 has MIUI 13 based on Android 11(keep in mind this is also a bit behind as its Android 11 based) which is more updated and secure compared to Redmi Note 10. Meanwhilre Redmi Note 10 uses MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. Keep in mind that Redmi Note 10 will get MIUI 13 based on Android 12 this month, which means once the phone gets the update, Redmi Note 10 is the winner in software.
Memory & Storage
Just like how processor is important is performace, so is RAM and phone’s storage speed. In terms of storage speed, both devices are equal. They both use UFS 2.2 technology. In RAM, it’ also pretty much the same. Both phones have 3 variants which is 64GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 4GB RAM and 128GB 6GB RAM. So you won’t find much difference between their read/write speeds.
Here’s the read and write speed of UFS 2.2. Both phones also do have a Micro SD slot.
Speakers
Both phones are also same here in speaker & sound quality. Both of the devices have stereo speakers and 24-bit/192kHz audio also with a headphone jack.
Size & Body
In this case Redmi Note 11 is a little smaller compared to Redmi Note 10. Redmi Note 11’s dimensions are 159.9 x 73.9 x 8.1 mm meanwhile Redmi Note 10’s dimensions are 160.5 x 74.5 x 8.3 mm, which makes Redmi Note 11 smaller and thinner. Both phones do provide Dual SIM in them. And they are both IP53 resistance which means dust and splash protection(no waterproof).
Camera
As expected, Redmi Note 10 also falls behind in this one. Redmi Note 11 has 4 cameras that are 50 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), PDAF which is main camera, 8 MP, f/2.2, 118˚ ultrawide camera, 2 MP, f/2.4, macro camera and 2 MP, f/2.4, depth camera. Meanwhile Redmi Note 10 has also 4 cameras that are 48 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF camera, 8 MP, f/2.2, 118˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm camera, 2 MP, f/2.4, macro camera and 2 MP, f/2.4, depth camera, which makes Redmi Note 11 better in this case.
So which is better?
If you’re really caring about camera quality and not care about heating & performance, Redmi Note 11 is the phone for you. Same case goes to 90 Hertz screen if you don’ care about heatinga nd performance that much. Otherwise, Redmi Note 10 is highly< recommended as Redmi Note 11 is also known for heating due to it’s processor.
