Oppo Find Series Product Manager Zhou Yibao confirmed that the Oppo Find X8 Ultra has a telephoto macro unit.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is reportedly coming in the first quarter of the year, but recent leaks say that it won’t go global. As the wait goes on, Oppo is gradually revealing some minor details about the phone.
The latest involves the phone’s camera department, which Zhou Yibao addressed in his recent post. In reply to a fan, the executive affirmed questions about the addition of a telephoto macro camera in the Oppo Find X8 Ultra.
According to reports, the said camera is a 50MP Sony LYT-701 unit with 3x optical zoom. It will reportedly join the phone’s 50MP Sony LYT-900 main camera with OIS, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope with 6x optical zoom.
A tipster earlier claimed that the Find X8 Ultra will arrive with a battery with a rating of around 6000mAh, 80W or 90W charging support, a 6.8″ curved 2K display (to be specific, a 6.82″ BOE X2 micro-curved 2K 120Hz LTPO display), an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and an IP68/69 rating. Earlier reports also revealed that, in addition to those details, the Find X8 Ultra will also offer a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a Hasselblad multi-spectral sensor, support for Tiantong satellite communication technology, 50W magnetic wireless charging, and a thinner body despite its huge battery.
