The teardown was performed by YouTube channel WekiHome, which examined the GT Neo6 SE and Ace 3V in detail. The process began by showing the different external designs of the two. However, upon inspection of their internal components and build, the clip highlighted how both models possess the same motherboard design and even a similar cooling solution. This similarity extends to the smartphones’ positioning of the heat sinks, storage and RAM (and even loudspeaker) suppliers, and rear camera sensors.

The clip also showed the identical secondary board located under the battery pack. On the other hand, while the OnePlus Ace 3V’s battery has more energy density and thinner, its difference from the Realme GT Neo6 SE in this section is almost insignificant, not to mention that both models have the same 5,500mAh capacity.

These details explain the almost identical specs sheet of the two phones, which are only given distinctions by several areas. For instance, the front cameras of the two greatly differ, with the Ace 3V sporting a 16MP unit while the GT Neo6 SE has a 32MP unit.

Another huge difference between the two phones lies in their displays. Although their screens look the same in a single glance, the dissection further revealed that the one the Realme phone is using is a curved panel from BOE, while the OnePlus creation is a flat display from Tianma. This also led to another difference between the two in terms of brightness, with the GT Neo6 SE boasting 1,500 nits of peak brightness, while the Ace 3V’s maximum brightness is only limited to 1,100 nits.

While these details could sound like news to some, it is not entirely surprising as OnePlus and Realme are subsidiaries of Oppo. The same applies to other brands under the same parent companies in the industry, explaining different reports about several phone creations being a rebranded model of one another. Despite this, companies still introduce some significant differences and improvements when rebranding their devices. As such, aside from spec sheets of the models, teardown clips like this help a lot in determining the differences between two similar-looking devices.

The model follows the brand’s 2022 A1 Pro model and joins the company’s plethora of mid-range offerings. The phone comes with a decent set of hardware and features, starting with the 2.0GHz MediaTek processor, AKA the MediaTek Helio P22. It comes with generous memory of 12GB RAM, and it can even be further expanded through support for 12GB of virtual memory. Complementing this is an option for up to 512GB of storage.

In the other part of the power department, it sports a 5,000mAh battery, which has support for 33W charging. It powers the 6.1-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 2,412 × 1,080-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. At the upper center section of the screen is an 8MP front camera for selfies, while a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary unit make up the rear camera system of the phone.

The A1s model comes in two configurations and will start selling in China on April 19.

The new model was launched in China this week as the successor to the A2 Pro that was launched last year. Even before its debut, the company already pained the A3 Pro as a much more successful creation than its predecessor, with Oppo claiming that it had 217% more online reservation volume than the A2 Pro.

Now, we get to confirm if the A3 Pro is worth the hype, with Oppo finally revealing the official specifications of the phone:

• The Oppo A3 Pro houses a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x AM.
• As the company revealed earlier, the new model has an IP69 rating, making it the world’s first “full-level waterproof” smartphone. To compare, the iPhone 15 Pro and Galaxy S24 Ultra models only have an IP68 rating.
• As per Oppo, the A3 Pro also has a 360-degree anti-fall build.
• The phone runs on Android 14-based ColorOS 14 system.
• Its 6.7-inch curved AMOLED screen comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2412×1080 pixels resolution, and a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection.
• A 5,000mAh battery powers the A3 Pro, which has support for 67W fast charging.
• The handheld is available in three configurations in China: 8GB/256GB (CNY 1,999), 12GB/256GB (CNY 2,199), and 12GB/512GB (CNY 2,499).
• Oppo will officially start selling the model on April 19 via its official online store and JD.com.
• The A3 Pro is available in three color options: Azure, Cloud Brocade Powder, and Mountain Blue. The first option comes with a glass finish, while the last two have a leather finish.

The Google Pixel 8a model will be launched on May 14 at Google’s annual I/O event. The company remains mum about its details but recent leaks have already revealed several details about it. The latest includes the renders of the handheld in Obsidian, Mint, Porcelain, and Bay colors.

The colors shown in the renders are not surprising at all, as earlier Pixel generations also use them. As for its texture, the images complement speculations that the upcoming model will also come with a matter-textured finish. The renders also echo earlier leaks about the build design of the phone, which is undeniably similar to earlier Pixel models released by Google. That includes the iconic rear camera island visor of the phone, housing the camera units and the flash. It retains the think bezels of Pixel phones, but its corners are now rounder compared to Pixel 7a.

As per other reports, the upcoming handheld will offer a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of storage, the smartphone is said to be getting 128GB and 256GB variants.

As usual, the leak echoed earlier speculations that the phone will be powered by a Tensor G3 chip, so don’t expect high performance from it. Unsurprisingly, the handheld is expected to run on Android 14.

The Pixel 8a is expected to be announced at Google’s annual I/O event on May 14. As the date nears, more and more leaks about the phone have been surfacing online, with the latest revelation involving its four colorways. Now, another one has surfaced, thanks to Google’s mistake recently.

As spotted by tipster Evan Blass, the brand uploaded the tutorials of the Pixel 8an on the UScellular website. The upload included different instructions on the initial use of the phone’s apps and features. The page only showed the front image of the device, but it labeled it as the “Google Pixel 8a,” allowing us to confirm its identity.

The page is no longer available after Google managed to spot the error, but Blass was able to save a screenshot of the tutorial upload alongside the front design of the phone.

From the image shown, it can be noticed that the front of the model is not that different from earlier Pixel generations. It comes with rather thick bezels, but its design appears to be rounder compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 7a.

Xiaomi remains mum about the details of the Mix Fold 4, but we can assure you that the brand is already working on the device. The Mi codes we observed recently could prove it and even confirm earlier leaks and claims regarding the phone. According to our findings, the phone is named “Goku” internally and has the “N18” model number. By comparing to the M18 model number of Mix Fold 3, we can confirm that the device described in the codes is indeed the successor of the current Xiaomi foldable phone.

Here are the other things we discovered from the codes and the database we analyzed recently:

Uncertain global release

Earlier, we claimed that the Mix Fold 4 would be released globally due to the different model numbers we spotted in the past, the 2405CPX3DC and 2405CPX3DG variants of the phone. We believed that these numbers were an indication of the phone’s global release.

However, in today’s news, this changed. Instead of having two model numbers, we only spotted one model number (24072PX77C) in the database we analyzed. While we want to say that this could mean that the smartphone will only be offered in the Chinese market, we’re still hoping that our earlier discoveries will prevail. Yet, we want to warn our readers not to get their hopes up since the predecessors of the Mix Fold 4 were only introduced in China.

Camera system

We have to say that we are expecting a lot from Mix Fold 4. However, these expectations do not cover its camera system. Compared to other Xiaomi flagships, like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the Mix Fold 4 is no match. Yet, it could still offer an interesting camera system.

To start, it will have a quad-camera system, with its main camera sporting a 50MP resolution and 1/1.55” size. It will also use the same sensor found in the Redmi K70 Pro: the Ovx8000 sensor AKA Light Hunter 800.

Down in the telephoto resection, the Mix Fold 4 has the Omnivision OV60A, which boasts 16MP resolution, a 1/2.8” size, and 2X optical zoom. This, however, is the sad part, as it is a downgrade from the 3.2X telephoto of the Mix Fold 3. On a positive note, it will be accompanied by a S5K3K1 sensor, which is also found in the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22. The telephoto sensor measures 1/3.94” and has a 10MP resolution and a 5X optical zoom capability.

Lastly, there’s the OV13B ultra-wide-angle sensor, which has a 13MP resolution and a 1/3″ sensor size. The inner and cover selfie cameras of the foldable phone, on the other hand, will employ the same 16MP OV16F sensor.

Other details

According to the codes, the Mix Fold 4 will have a better screen resolution compared to the first two models before it. Xiaomi employed the same OLED panels in FOLD 3 and FOLD 2, translating to similar screen resolutions. However, the latest codes of the Mix Fold 4 show a different set of details. However, as of now, we can only confirm that this only concerns the cover screen of the smartphone.

So far, these are the latest additions to the things we know about the Mix Fold 4. It joins the other details we discovered in the past. To recall, it was earlier reported that aside from the ones mentioned above, the Mix Fold 4 is believed to be getting a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 16GB RAM, better hinge design, up to 1TB storage, and a 5000mAh capacity with a possible 100W charging. Ultimately, based on recent developments, it is also certain that the phone will have the new 5.5G capability.

The phone will be officially announced on April 17 in India. As preparation for the day, the Flipkart microsite of the model was launched recently. The page lacks the complete details of the smartphone, but it confirms earlier reports about it.

To start, Vivo revealed that the T3x 5G will indeed use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, confirming it will be another mid-range offer from Vivo. According to the brand, it is by far the “most affordable 5G smartphone” in its plethora of offerings.

Aside from this, the microsite unveiled the phone’s two color options: Celestial Green and Crimson Red. Based on the images shared, it seems the two colors will have different textures, with the Celestial Green having a smooth and shiny finish while the other one appears to be matte.

It also shows the official back design of the Vivo T3x 5G, which boasts a huge circular camera island housing its camera units (reportedly a 50MP main unit and 2MP depth) and the flash. The sides of the phone are encased in flat metal frames, while its back also sports a flat build.

No other details about the upcoming model are shown on the page, but earlier reports claim that it would offer a huge 6,000mAh battery with 44W wired charging, 128GB storage, three RAM variants (4GB, 6GB, and 8GB), a 6.72-inch full-HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, IP64 rating, and an 8MP selfie camera.

The wait for the Vivo X100 Ultra continues, with an earlier report that the launch date of the model was postponed from April to May. Worse, the claim suggested that it could be even pushed back further, although the reasons behind it are currently unknown.

In a recent post on Weibo, Tao addressed the seemingly growing impatience of fans. The executive showed his gratitude toward the excitement and buzz fans are making over the anticipated model. However, Tao admitted that some issues are being experienced regarding the new model, adding that the company wants to solve each one before the device’s official debut.

Interestingly, Tao revealed that the main reason behind these problems is related to the nature of the X100 Ultra. As the executive explained, instead of a phone, the company is trying to create a professional camera injected with the capabilities of a smartphone.

According to earlier reports, the Vivo X100 Ultra will be armed with a high-powered camera system. As per leaks, the system will be made of a 50MP LYT-900 main camera with OIS support, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with up to 200x digital zoom, a 50 MP IMX598 ultra-wide lens, and an IMX758 telephoto camera.

Unsurprisingly, the model will also be well-equipped in other sections, with its SoC rumored to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC chip. Moreover, earlier reports claimed that the model will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support. Outside, it will sport a Samsung E7 AMOLED 2K screen display, which is expected to offer high peak brightness and an impressive refresh rate.

We are still waiting for the announcement of the Huawei P70. Sadly, after earlier rumors about the postponement of the launch to April 2, Huawei remains mum about the series.

The company is reportedly presenting four models in the series: the Huawei P70, P70 Pro, P70 Pro+, and P70 Art. Three of these models appeared on Geekbench, and they were allegedly using the Kirin 9000S chips. In recent reports, images of the series also emerged, confirming that it will employ a triangular camera island for its rear camera system.

In past leaks, the module was shown housing the three cameras and the flash unit, with the color of the module depending on the overall colorway of the unit. In one of the images shared, the module is shown in black, while the other one comes in a marble blue color.

Now, we get another image complementing the past photos shared online. According to the image circulating on Weibo, the phone will also be offered in a white color option, with its triangular camera module appearing in a darker shade of white. As usual, there are three holes in the camera units encased in metal rings.

According to a report from Global Times, the company is already accepting pre-orders from customers. As shared by a Huawei dealership shop manager in Guangzhou city, interested buyers can now make a deposit of 1,000 yuan (around $138.2) to make the pre-orders. On the other hand, a different manager from a dealership in Beijing claimed that the company also offers a pre-order subscription service, where fans can make the pre-orders without paying a deposit.

With this, it would be unsurprising if Huawei started selling the series without making any official announcement about it. Information Consumption Alliance Director General Xiang Ligang believes this will be the case in P70.

“Just like the Mate 60 phones, the sales of P70 series may kick off without any launch event. As far as I know, some Huawei stores have begun to make preparations for the sales of P70. Sales may kick off very soon,” Ligang told the publication.

Interestingly, the Guangzhou informant said that the series would only be composed of three models: P70, P70 Pro, and P70 Art. This opposes earlier reports and leaks, where a P70 Pro+ model is included. There are currently no other details to support this, but we should be able to confirm this soon once the Chinese smartphone brand starts the expected sale of the phones.
