Xiaomi 12S Ultra has a 1-inch IMX 989 Sony image sensor. Older Xiaomi 11 Ultra has a sensor with 1/1.12″ size but Xiaomi didn’t work with Leica back then.
Currently Vivo works with Carl Zeiss for the camera development of Vivo phones. Carl Zeiss created custom color profile on Vivo phones which is accesible through the camera app interface. The collaboration between smartphone and camera companies brought useful features. We don’t have info about the camera app that will be present on Xiaomi 12S series but Lei Jun (CEO and founder of Xiaomi) shared some images taken with Xiaomi 12S series.

These are the official photos shared but most of them taken with 24mm and 23mm lenses except one photo.
As seen on the focal length info this is photo equivalent to 120mm.
This is shot from the telephoto camera present on Xiaomi 12S Ultra. It’s 48 MP with f4.1 aperture and 1/2.0″ sensor size. It supports 5X optical zoom.
