The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra or OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition has appeared on Geekbench, but it surprisingly has a chip we didn’t expect.
OnePlus will expand the Ace 5 series soon with the addition of an Ultra model (Supreme Edition moniker in China). This will join the vanilla OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, which are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite, respectively.
Now, you might expect that the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra would be as powerful as its Ace 5 Pro sibling. However, instead of getting the Snapdragon flagship chip, its Geekbench listing shows that it would be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC instead.
To recall, the Mediatek chip is also new. While it indeed has great GPU benchmark scores, some might still find the Snapdragon 8 Elite preferable in terms of multitasking and raw power.
According to the listing, the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra’s chip was paired with 16GB RAM and Android 15, allowing it to secure 2779 and 8660 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
The phone is expected to launch in China this month, but it is unknown if it will also be offered in the global market.
Stay tuned for updates!
