Xiaomi is planning to launch the Xiaomi 12 series of smartphones globally on March 15th, 2022. The Xiaomi 12 series, which includes the Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro, has already been released in Chinese markets. The company is now preparing to launch smartphones around the world. The prices of these devices were previously leaked online; however, the global renders and prices have now been leaked online. The renders provide the first look at the global Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro: Renders and price
The global renders of Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro have been leaked online by Pricebaba. The renders show that there won’t be any difference between the global version and the Chinese version of Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. The renders shades light on three colour variants of the device; dark grey, blue and pink. The device will have a centrally aligned punch-hole cutout for the housing of the selfie camera on the front. The report further says that Xiaomi 12 will have a starting price tag of EUR 899 (~USD 985) and 12 Pro will have a starting price tag of EUR 1099 (~USD 1200).
It has been reported previously that Xiaomi 12 will be available in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB while the 12 Pro will be available in 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants. The Xiaomi 12 Pro will be the highest-end smartphone in the series offering features like a CURVED AMOLED display with a 120Hz high refresh rate and LTPO 2.0 technology. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with LPDDR5 based RAM and UFS based storage.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro offers a triple rear camera with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with support of OIS, a 50MP secondary ultrawide lens and a 50MP telephoto camera at last. The device brings a 32MP front-facing selfie camera. It is backed by a 4500mAh battery paired with 120W super fast wired charging. The devices are expected to boot up on Android 12 based MIUI 13 out of the box.
