It seems the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will maintain their predecessor’s price tags in the global market.
To recall, the Xiaomi 15 series was introduced with a price increase in China, where it was launched in October last year. Xiaom’s Lei Jun explained that the reason behind the hike was the component cost (and R&D investments), affirmed by the series’ hardware improvements.
Yet, according to the most recent leak about the price tags of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, it seems the company will spare the global market from possible significant price hikes.
According to a leak, the Xiaomi 15 with 512GB has a €1,099 price tag in Europe, while the Xiaomi 15 Ultra with the same storage costs €1,499. To recall, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra launched globally around the same price tag.
If the leak is true, this should be good news for global fans, as we previously expected the models to be priced higher this year due to the Xiaomi 15 price hike in China.
According to rumors, the Xiaomi 15 will be offered in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB options, while its colors include green, black, and white. As for its configurations, the global market is likely to receive a slightly tweaked set of details. Yet, the international version of the Xiaomi 15 could still adopt many of the details of its Chinese counterpart.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is allegedly coming with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the company’s self-developed Small Surge chip, eSIM support, satellite connectivity, 90W charging support, a 6.73″ 120Hz display, IP68/69 rating, a 16GB/512GB configuration option, three colors (black, white, and silver), and more. Reports also claim that its camera system contains a 50MP 1″ Sony LYT-900 main camera, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultrawide, a 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto with 4.3x optical zoom.
