HMD introduced a new model to its fans in China: the HMD 101 4G with DeepSeek AI.
The brand unveiled the new feature phone in China following its split with Nokia. The Finnish phone manufacturer initially rose to fame by reviving old Nokia models. However, the company is now focusing on its own branded phones.
Its latest entry is a 4G feature phone with basic features like a Type-C charging port and a 3.5mm jack port. It also has a basic camera system.
The phone’s main highlight is its support for DeepSeek AI despite only costing CN¥149 (around $20). Sadly, the model seems to be available only in China now, where the AI tech is openly available. To recall, while DeepSeek is available outside China, its use is still limited in other markets, not to mention that it is banned in South Korea, Australia, and Taiwan.
