HMD Global has stopped offering the Nokia XR21 on its official website. The company’s Nokia brand licensing is set to end in March 2026.
The company marked the Nokia XR21 discontinued on its website, suggesting the start of its Nokia brand discontinuation plans.
However, it is important to note that Nokia-branded smartphones are still being offered on the company’s global website. This means HMD will continue to sell some of its Nokia devices for some time.
To recall, earlier reports revealed that HMD’s licensing agreement with Nokia would end next year. Yet, it has already started focusing on producing its own branded devices instead of Nokia phones.
One includes the rebranding of several Nokia handhelds to HMD, such as the HMD XR21. It was introduced in May last year and offers the same set of specifications as its Nokia counterpart, like a Snapdragon 695 chip, a 6.49″ IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, a 64MP main + 8MP ultrawide rear camera setup, a 16MP selfie camera, a 4800mAh battery, and 33W charging support.
