The Honor Magic 7 Pro is now official globally, and one of its main highlights is its extended software support, which has now reached five years.
The Honor Magic 7 Pro debuted alongside the Magic 7 Lite in Europe this week. In addition to unveiling the details of the phones, the brand announced that the Pro model is getting longer software support, allowing it to receive five major Android OS updates. This means that apart from receiving upgrades until Android 20, it will also receive security patches until January 2030.
The news makes the Magic 7 Pro a more attractive option than its predecessor, the Magic 6 Pro, which only has four years of major OS updates and five years of security updates. Yet, of course, this is still far from what Samsung and Google offer in their devices, which have seven years of software support.
