Honor confirms AI Deepfake Detection’s April 2025 rollout

Honor’s AI Deepfake Detection technology will be released in the international markets in April.

The company confirmed the news following its initial unveiling in June last year during the MWC Shanghai 2024 event.

The AI Deepfake Detection feature is designed to combat the growing illegal activities using AI. To recall, several reports revealed numerous cases of crimes involving digitally manipulated content.

According to Honor, its creation “has been trained through a large dataset of videos and images related to online scams.” The feature works within three seconds and immediately sends users a risk warning.

The move is part of the brand’s growing interest in AI, which is now one of its main highlights among its devices. Recently, the company also confirmed the DeepSeek AI integration into its system. According to the company, DeepSeek will be supported through its MagicOs 8.0 and above OS versions and YOYO assistant 80.0.1.503 version (9.0.2.15 and above for the MagicBook) and above.
