New Honor Magic 7 version with 6000mAh battery, periscope coming to China in April

Honor is reportedly preparing a new version of the vanilla Honor Magic 7 model, which comes with a 6000mAh battery and a periscope unit.

The Honor Magic 7 series debuted in China in October last year. The standard model is as powerful as the Pro variant, thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. However, it only comes with a 5650mAh battery and has a less superior camera system.

According to tipster Fixed Focus Digital, this will change in April when the brand releases a refreshed Honor Magic 7. As per the account, the Honor Magic 7 will be equipped with a bigger battery with around 6000mAh capacity and a periscope telephoto.

If true, this could mean the vanilla version in China could soon surpass the Honor Magic 7 Pro in such areas. To recall, the current Honor Magic 7 version in China only comes with a 5650mAh battery and a rear camera system featuring a 50MP main (1/1.3″, ƒ/1.9) + 50MP ultrawide (ƒ/2.0, 2.5cm HD macro) + 50MP telephoto (3x optical zoom, ƒ/2.4, OIS, and 50x digital zoom) setup. The Pro model, on the other hand, has a 5850mAh battery and a rear camera system made up of a 50MP main (1/1.3″, f1.4-f2.0 ultra-large intelligent variable aperture, and OIS) + 50MP ultrawide (ƒ/2.0 and 2.5cm HD macro) + 200MP periscope telephoto (1/1.4″, 3x optical zoom, ƒ/2.6, OIS, and up to 100x digital zoom).

In other areas, nonetheless, the improved Honor Magic 7 could remain the same.
