Honor Magic V Flip debuts with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 4” 120Hz external display

The Honor Magic V Flip is now official in China, and it comes with lots of interesting features. Some include its Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and a spacious external screen, which measures 4 inches and has a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The device is the first clamshell flip phone from Honor, making it the latest competitor of famous models like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. As expected, the brand armed it with some decent features to allow it to compete in the industry efficiently.

To start, the MagicOS 8 phone comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which is paired with 12GB RAM (16GB for limited edition Jimmy Choo design), up to 1TB storage, and a 4,800mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. Its display department, on the other hand, is composed of a 6.8” 1.5K main screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness. Outside, it boasts a wide 4” external screen, which also supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

In the camera section, there’s a 50MP main unit that uses the Sony IMX906 and OIS. It is complemented by a 12MP ultrawide unit, while its front has a 50MP selfie shooter.

Luckily for fans, there’s a plethora of color options for the Honor Magic V Flip, which comes in Camellia White, Champagne Pink, and Iris Black. As for its price tags, fans in China can purchase it based on their preferred configurations: 8GB/256GB (CN¥4,999), 12GB/512GB (CN¥5,499), 12GB/1TB (CN¥5,999), 16GB/1TB (Limited Jimmy Choo Edition for CN¥6,999).
