Honor Power debuts with SD 7 Gen 3, 8000mAh battery, satellite texting, $270 starting price

Honor’s new midrange model, the Honor Power, is finally here, and it impresses in various sections despite its affordable price tag in China.

The Honor Power is the brand’s first model in the Power series, and it debuted with a bang. The Honor Power starts at CN¥2000 for its 8GB/256GB configuration. Yet, despite this affordable base price, the handheld offers some details we usually find in flagship devices. That includes its huge 8000mAh battery and even a satellite communication feature, allowing it to be used for texting when mobile signals are not available.

It also carries a rather decent chip for its price: a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The SoC is complemented by 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB configurations, priced at CN¥2000, CN¥2200, and CN¥2500, respectively. Note that the satellite texting feature is only available in the 12GB/512GB, though.
