Nowadays, spam callers and stalkers make it a must to block phone numbers. They constantly harass us with repeated calls throughout the day, Fortunately, there are ways to deal with this issue without taking major actions, such as arguing our customer service about these harassments or changing our phone numbers.
How Do I Block Phone Numbers?
To block phone numbers, you first need to have this option on your default phone application. This option should be available in your phone app’s settings or simply on the menu that appears when you press and hold on a phone number on your call or contact list.
For Xiaomi devices, you may find this option this way:
- Open the phone app on your launcher
- Tap the three dots on the top right corner of the screen
- Go to Call Reject
- Tap Reject calls from
- Tick Private numbers
- Add numbers to block calls from
Or you can also simply press and hold on the phone number you wish to block and from the menu that shows up, select block.
For devices that come with stock Google apps:
These devices use Google Phone application which is the number one app when it comes to preventing unwanted annoying spam calls. The reason why is that this app can actually detect and distinguish spam calls from regular calls automatically and allows you to block any spam calls. If you are bothered by these calls, we strongly suggest installing Google Phone from Play Store and use it instead.
Here how you can block phone numbers manually on this app:
- Open Google Phone app
- Tap the 3 dots on top right corner
- Tap Settings
- Go to Blocked numbers
- Tap Add a number and enter the phone number block
