Huawei Mate XT 2 gets certified in China as debut nears

The Huawei Mate XT 2 was certified in China, suggesting its imminent domestic launch.

The Huawei trifold smartphone was spotted with a GRL-AL20 model number, which follows the current Mate XT’s GRL-AL10 internal identification.

According to the certification, the phone will support 5G connectivity. In a recent post, well-known leaker Digital Chat Station also reiterated the earlier leaked details about the device, including its Kirin 9020 chip, Tiantong satellite communication support, and a camera system with a 50MP main camera with variable aperture and a periscope telephoto unit.

Earlier rumors claimed that Huawei’s next trifold would be coming in the second half of the year. The camera system of the phone is also said to offer new lenses, specifically Huawei’s first in-house lenses called SC5A0CS and SC590XS.
