Huawei is reportedly launching the successor of the Huawei Mate XT in the second half of the year. It is rumored to have a better camera system and processor.
That’s according to a well-known leaker, Digital Chat Station, who claims that the current Huawei tri-fold model is a success. According to a report in April, the company sold around 400,000 units. The account noted that it is outperforming all the book-style foldables in the Chinese market. As such, it is no surprise that Huawei is planning to create the Huawei Mate XT 2.
According to DCS, the phone still has the same screen resolution as the current tri-fold model. However, the account says that the device’s chip and camera system will be improved.
The chip is reportedly a new Kirin 9020 series N-1 generation chip. Meanwhile, the camera is said to offer new lenses, complementing earlier reports about Huawei’s first in-house chips called SC5A0CS and SC590XS. The lenses are expected to debut in the Huawei Pura 80 series.
