Tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the Huawei Pura 80 Pro model will feature a domestically produced 1″ camera lens.
The Pura 80 series is allegedly coming next month, which explains the recent leaks we have been hearing. In the most recent ones, we learned that the company is testing the camera system of the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra in China. Now, in the latest leak from DCS, it has been revealed that the Huawei Pura 80 Pro variant will house a main camera with a SmartSens 50MP 1″ SC5A0CS lens.
According to the account, the SmartSens SC5A0CS is the latest domestically produced lens in China. The tipster underscored that the move reflects Huawei’s mission not just to gain independence in the core components needed for its device production but to “surpass” the competition now.
We heard about the component weeks ago from the same tipster. To recall, Huawei is also rumored to be developing its own camera system for the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra. The Huawei lenses are reportedly named SC5A0CS and SC590XS, both of which use the RYYB tech and 50MP resolution. The SC5A0CS is a 1″ sensor expected to be used in the main camera, while the SC590XS is a 1/1.3″ lens that could serve as a telephoto. As per DCS, the latter is armed with Huawei’s SuperPixGain HDR2.0 technology, which “achieves ultra-high dynamic range imaging,” “suppresses motion artifacts,” and produces an imaging effect that is “bright and dark, clear and without smear.”
