The new Huawei Pura X foldable smartphone is now available in China with a starting price of CN¥7499.
The Pura phone was unveiled by the Chinese smartphone giant this week. It is quite a bizarre handheld due to its screen ratio. Unlike the other flip phones in the market, it has a 16:10 ratio for its display. This makes it shorter but wider than other models. Somehow, due to its size, it looks like a mini-tablet.
In general, the Huawei Pura X measures 143.2mm x 91.7mm when unfolded and 91.7mm x 74.3mm when folded.
It has a 6.3″ main display and a 3.5″ external screen. When unfolded, it is used as a regular vertical flip phone, but its orientation changes when it is closed. Despite this, the secondary display is pretty spacious and allows a variety of actions (camera, calls, music, etc.), allowing you to use the phone even without unfolding it.
Other highlights of the phone include its trio of rear cameras with a 50MP main unit, 4720mAh battery, and 66W wired and 40W wireless charging support. As usual, Huawei remains mum about the chip in its devices, but reports revealed the Pura X is powered by the Kirin 9020 SoC.
The Pura X comes in black, white, and silver colorways. It also has a Collector’s Edition with Pattern Green and Pattern Red options. Configurations include 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB, priced at CN¥7499, CN¥7999, CN¥8999, and CN¥9999, respectively.
