Huawei’s next trifold to be called ‘Mate XTs’; Colorways, details tipped

More details about Huawei’s upcoming second trifold model have surfaced, including its color options and official marketing moniker.

Reports in the past months have revealed the success of the Huawei Mate XT trifold. In April, the Chinese giant sold around 400,000 units despite its steep pricing. Now, the total number of activated units reportedly hit around 500,000.

With this success, earlier leaks said that Huawei is now preparing the Mate XT successor. It was earlier speculated to be named Mate XT 2, but well-known leaker Digital Chat Station claimed that it would instead be called the Huawei Mate XTs

The tipster also shared that the upcoming trifold model will follow the same launch timeline as its predecessor. However, DCS underscored that this September debut is currently tentative.

As for its details, while no specifics were mentioned, DCS revealed that its camera and processor will be improved. Ultimately, the account divulged that the device will be offered in black, red, white, and purple colorways.

In addition to China, like the current Huawei trifold, the Mate XTs will be offered in other global markets, including Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the UAE, and Cambodia.
