Huawei’s rollable model ‘unlikely’ to progress

It seems Huawei’s plan for its rollable model is stuck, dismissing the possibility of its mass production.

Huawei is the first brand to offer the trifold model in the market, the Huawei Mate XT. It even unveiled its first 16:10 display ratio model this year, the Huawei Pura X. According to rumors, the company is also hoping to introduce the first rollable model to the market. Recent reports claimed that it could launch this year or in 2026. However, well-known leaker Digital Chat Station claimed otherwise.

In a reply to a fan on his post, DCS shared that the model’s structure is “complex” and that its  “screen reliability is poor.” Ultimately, the tipster underscored that its chances of progressing to mass production are very low. Despite this, it is unknown if the project has been completely discarded or if the brand is still considering it for a future launch.
