A new claim says that instead of the three cameras reported earlier, the OnePlus 13 Mini will actually have only two lenses in the back.
The OnePlus 13 series is now available in the global market, offering fans the vanilla OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R. Now, another model is reportedly joining the lineup soon, the OnePlus 13 Mini (or possibly called OnePlus 13T.
The news came amid the growing interest of smartphone manufacturers in compact devices. Last month, several details of the phone were shared online, including its camera. According to reputable leaker Digital Chat Station at that time, the phone would offer a 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto. In the tipster’s most recent claim, however, there seems to be a significant change in the camera system of the said model.
According to DCS, the OnePlus 13 Mini will now only offer a 50MP main camera alongside a 50MP telephoto. It is also important to note that from the 3x optical zoom claimed by the tipster earlier, the telephoto now only reportedly has 2x zoom. Despite this, the tipster underscored that there could still be some changes as the setup remains unofficial.
Earlier, DCS also suggested that the said model is OnePlus’ version of the upcoming Oppo Find X8 Mini. Other details rumored coming to the compact smartphone include a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 6.31″ flat 1.5K LTPO display with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, a metal frame, and a glass body.
