A 6.3″ mini foldable phone is coming to debut ‘a new form factor,’ and it could be the Huawei Pocket 3

A new rumor says that one brand is preparing a new phone with an interesting form factor.

We are expecting several new foldable smartphones this year, most of which are anticipated to be the successors of their current siblings. However, a new claim from Weibo says that there will be a new foldable, which could bring us a new form factor in the foldable industry.

Tipster Digital Chat Station teased a new foldable model. However, what’s interesting about the device is its size. According to the account, it is a compact phone with a 6.3″ main display, making it somewhat of a “Mini” model. Yet, as noted, it will have a foldable body, making it smaller than any usual compact phone when folded. Some users find the setup a bit bizarre, but as DCS underscored, it could be a new form factor the unnamed brand is preparing.

Aside from its main display with a 3:2 ratio, the tipster shared that the external display will measure 3.5″. Some believe it could be the Huawei Pocket 3, which is expected to launch next month, but it is still too early to be certain.

According to earlier rumors, the phone will offer “groundbreaking” features and will specifically target the female market. As per earlier leaks, there will be two Huawei Pocket 3 versions. It is unknown if the leak was referring to the configuration, but it could also be the connectivity (5G and 4G), NFC support, satellite capability, or other features.

Nonetheless, we expect to hear more about the compact foldable phone soon. Stay tuned!
