MIUI 13.1 version has been released for Xiaomi 12 series with Android 13 base. The newly introduced Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 and Mi Pad 5 Pro 12.4″ devices also come with MIUI 13.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.

MIUI 13.1 Features
The biggest feature of MIUI 13.1 is that it is based on the new Android version. While Google devices have not yet received the stable Android 13 update, Xiaomi 12 series has started receiving the MIUI 13.1 based Android 13 update in China. Some devices and beta devices got MIUI 13.1 based on Android 12.
There is not enough information about the new update and since we do not have an existing Xiaomi 12 device, we cannot clearly say what the content of the update is. However, it seems that the popular features of Android 13 may have been added.
MIUI 13.1 Eligible Devices
We do not think that the MIUI 13.1 version will come to every device. Last year, the MIUI 12.5-based Android 12 update was released for only the Xiaomi 11 series and K40 Pro. However, the stable Android 12 update was only released based on MIUI 13. This means that MIUI 13.1 version may only be received by flagship devices for first batch. So you don’t have to wait impatiently for MIUI 13.1.
You can use the MIUI Downloader Android application to install MIUI 13.1 on your Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro devices. Thanks to the MIUI Downloader application, you can easily get updates that are still in beta version.
