Xiaomi’s major update MIUI 15 may not support legacy themes!
The highly anticipated MIUI 15 is almost ready to be unveiled. We have some sad news for MIUI 15, which will come with many new features and performance improvements. In the new MIUI 15 version, support for old themes may be removed, you may lose access to your old themes. During the major MIUI update every year, many features are added, while these innovations are added, the theme engine is also updated. Accordingly, legacy themes are no longer compatible with the new MIUI version, which means it’s time to say goodbye to your favorite theme.
MIUI 15 may not support legacy themes, but there is of course a solution. Send feedback to the developer of your favorite theme and ask them to update it to be MIUI 15 compatible when MIUI 15 is released. If theme developers refactor and update their themes and other customization items to be compatible with MIUI 15, this issue should be overcome. However, legacy themes that are not updated will be retired as they will be incompatible with MIUI 15. If they are still valid for other MIUI versions, you can use them in those versions, but not with MIUI 15.
