More Vivo X Fold 3 series leaks surface ahead of expected release this month

Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro are reportedly making their launch in China later this month. Prior to that, however, more and more leaks have surfaced on the web, revealing some significant details about the two foldable devices.

The successors of Vivo X Fold 2 are expected to challenge competitors in the foldable smartphone industry with their powerful specifications and features. Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will certainly be a promising challenger, especially with the device rumored to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. According to recent leaks, the Pro model will also be powered with a 5,800mAh battery, complemented by 120W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.

The regular Vivo X Fold 3 model should also impress through its 80W wired fast charging and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. And just like its sibling, the base model of the series is also expected to have a triple rear camera setup, albeit the placement of the island will be different than the one found in Vivo X Fold 2.

Aside from these things, other details recently revealed by leakers about the devices include:

Vivo X Fold 3

  • According to well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, the design of Vivo X Fold 3 will make it the “lightest and thinnest device with an inward vertical hinge.”
  • According to the 3C certification website, Vivo X Fold 3 will get 80W wired fast charging support. The device is also set to have a 5,550mAh battery.
  • The certification also revealed that the device will be 5G capable.
  • Vivo X Fold 3 will get a trio of rear cameras: a 50MP primary camera with OmniVision OV50H, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle, and a 50MP telephoto 2x optical zoom and up to 40x digital zoom.
  • The model is reportedly getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro

  • According to the leaked schematic and renders provided by leakers online, both Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will share the same appearance. However, the two devices will differ in terms of their internals.
  • Unlike the Vivo X Fold 2, the rear circular camera module will placed in the upper middle part of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. The area will house the model’s 50MP OV50H OIS main camera, 50MP ultra-wide lens, and 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto lens. Additionally, Fold 3 Pro will have OIS and 4K/60fps support. Aside from the camera, the island will feature two flash units and the ZEISS logo.
  • The front camera will reportedly be 32MP, which is accompanied by a 32MP sensor on the internal screen.
  • The Pro model will offer a 6.53-inch 2748 x 1172 cover panel, while the main screen will be an 8.03-inch foldable display with a 2480 x 2200 resolution. Both screens are LTPO AMOLED to allow 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support.
  • It will be powered by a 5,800mAh battery and will have support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
  • The device will use a more powerful chip: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
  • It will be available in up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
  • Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is believed to be dust and waterproof, although the current IP rating of the device remains unknown.
  • Other reports said that the device will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and a built-in infrared remote control.
