Next Motorola flagship is named ‘Razr Ultra 2025’ with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, Geekbench confirms

Motorola is making a minor change in the naming format of its next flagship, which now surprisingly houses the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

A Motorola foldable device was recently spotted on the Geekbench platform for a test. The device was directly revealed as the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025, which is kind of a surprise.

To recall, the brand has a habit of naming its devices in a specific format. For instance, the last Ultra model was called Razr 50 Ultra or Razr+ 2024 in some markets. However, this seems to be changing partially soon, with the next Ultra device of the brand sporting the monicker “Motorola Razr Ultra 2025.”

Aside from the name, another interesting detail about the Geekbench listing is the flip phone’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. To recall, its predecessor only debuted with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a lower version of the then-flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This time, this means the company has finally decided to use Qualcomm’s latest processor, making the Razr Ultra 2025 an actual flagship model.

As per the listing, the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 was tested alongside 12GB of RAM and Android 15 OS. In general, the handheld achieved 2,782 and 8,457 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
