Amazfit, a smart watch brand owned by one of Xiaomi’s partners, Huami, has released new Amazfit watches, and they seem very interesting. The watches seem durable and have decent specs, though we don’t have a price yet. So, let’s have a look.
New Amazfit watches – specs, design & more
Amazfit has given GSMArena an exclusive look at the new Amazfit watches, the Amazfit T-Rex Pro 2 and the Amazfit Vienna, and the seem like good smartwatches, though, as we mentioned, we don’t have a price for either of the models yet. The Amazfit T-Rex Pro has a similar design to the original T-Rex Pro, with a tougher looking plastic build and silicone strap. There are also new colours such as the Astro Black and Gold, Wild Green and Desert Khaki.
The T-Rex Pro 2 features a 454×454 resolution AMOLED display, with 1000 nits of brightness max. The watch also features an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, geomagnetic sensor, an ambient light sensor, dual-band GPS and Bluetooth 5. Battery life of the watch is rated at 24 days of mixed usage and 10 days of heavy use, thanks to the 500mAh battery, and fairly low power hardware. The watch also features 500 megabytes of storage and 32MB of RAM.
The Amazfit Vienna is a slight step-up from the T-Rex Pro 2, with a titanium and sapphire design, while keeping the same specs as the T-Rex Pro 2, with 4GB of storage instead. However the Amazfit Vienna lacks eSIM support while the T-Rex Pro 2 doesn’t. Both the watches will be announced mid-summer.
