It seems Oppo wants to market the upcoming Oppo Find N5 as a tablet alternative after it compares the foldable to the Apple iPad Pro.
The Oppo Find N5 is coming next month, and the company is now actively teasing the foldable. In its latest move, Oppo compared the Find N5 to the iPad Pro (M4).
The news follows Oppo’s earlier teases underscoring the Find N5’s thin profile, saying it is the thinnest foldable in the market. However, it seems this is not the only title the Chinese brand wants for its upcoming foldable: it also wants it to be the ideal tablet alternative.
According to earlier reports, the Oppo Find N5 will only measure 3.7mm in thickness in its unfolded form. Despite this, the phone is expected to offer a spacious 8” internal display when unfolded, while its front has a 6.4” external display when folded.
The news follows several teases by Oppo about the phone, sharing that it will offer thin bezels, wireless charging support, thin body, and IPX6/X8/X9 ratings. Its Geekbench listing also shows that it will be powered by a 7-core version of Snapdragon 8 Elite, while tipster Digital Chat Station shared in a recent post on Weibo that the Find N5 also has 50W wireless charging, a 3D-printed titanium alloy hinge, a triple camera with periscope, a side fingerprint, satellite support, and 219g weight.
