We have been previously sharing the rumors about Xiaomi Civi 2 and now it’s finally on the way. Xiaomi Civi series focuses on a light design and good selfie camera capabilities. For instance the original Xiaomi Civi has a 7mm thickness, which is incredibly tiny in comparison to other smartphones.
Xiaomi Civi 2 expected specifications
Civi 2 will have a processor upgrade. Civi 2 will have an upgraded processor; Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will power it instead of the preceding Civi series’ Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 778G+. Xiaomi Civi 2 will be released with Android 12 and MIUI 13 preinstalled out of the box.
Civi 2 features a VLOG mode inside the camera app. It has various shoot modes and color effects. Although we have the screenshots, we don’t have complete use case of the VLOG mode.
Xiaomi Civi 2 wil feature a 6.55″ Full HD AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and it supports 67W fast charging. Although we don’t yet know the battery capacity, we will continue to post more about the specs in time.
Xiaomi CIVI 2 confirmed
Cici Wei has published a post on Weibo (Chinese social media platform). For your convenience, we have translated the post from Chinese to English which you find here. Note that Cici Wei is Xiaomi Mobile Devices Product Manager. Civi 1S was released in this year and Civi 1 was released a year ago.
Cici Wei shared the post on Xiaomi Civi 2, as you can see in the translated Weibo post. We don’t have the exact launch date yet but it’s likely to be released on September.
Civi 2’s codename is “ziyi” and the model number of Civi 2 is “2209129SC“. It’s uncertain but Xiaomi Civi 2 might be named as Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE in the global markets.
