Oppo will launch the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro globally on June 18. In line with this, the company released the marketing material for the models, hinting at AI’s huge participation in the event.
The Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro were first unveiled in China in May. The phones, nonetheless, are now expected to be offered internationally after the brand itself confirmed that the series and its upcoming flagship will hit global stores.
Thankfully, there’s finally a date for the Reno phones’ global debut: June 18. According to recent material shared by Oppo, the event will be held in Ibiza, Spain. Interestingly, the company placed a huge emphasis on AI in the announcement posters.
This is unsurprising, nonetheless, as Oppo itself has already started adopting AI in its devices. Some of the AI features included in the Reno 12 phones are the AI Portrait and AI LinkBoost, with more expected to be announced soon. Moreover, the company has already confirmed that Google’s Gemini Ultra 1.0 will soon arrive on its smartphones this year. Given that the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro are some of Oppo’s latest offerings, it is certain that they are one of the models to receive the LLM.
The two phones should start selling in Europe first, but they should also arrive in other markets in the following weeks and months. Unlike their Chinese counterparts, however, the global variants of Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro come with some changes in terms of some departments, including the SoC, which will employ Dimensity 7300 for both models.
