Nubia President Ni Fei revealed that the brand is working on integrating China’s DeepSeek AI into its smartphone system.
AI is the latest trend among smartphone companies. In the past months, OpenAI and Google Gemini made the headlines and were even introduced to some models. The AI spotlight, however, was recently stolen by China’s DeepSeek, an open-source large language model.
Various Chinese companies are now working on integrating the said AI tech into their creations. After Huawei, Honor, and Oppo, Nubia has revealed that it is already on the move to integrate DeepSeek not only in its specific devices but also in its own UI skin.
Ni Fei did not reveal in the post when the DeepSeek will be accessible to its users but noted that the brand is already working on it using its Nubia Z70 Ultra model.
“Instead of simply and quickly integrating it with the ‘intelligent body solution,’ we chose to embed DeepSeek into the system more deeply…” Ni Fei said.
