An official from Honor shared his insight about the upcoming Honor GT Pro model.
Honor is expected to unveil the Honor GT Pro soon, with rumors claiming that it could be at the end of the month. Amid the wait for the device, the Honor GT series product manager (@杜雨泽 Charlie) shared some details about the phone on Weibo.
In his response to followers, the manager addressed the concerns about the price of the Honor GT Pro, affirming expectations that it is priced higher than the current vanilla Honor GT model. According to the official, the Honor GT Pro is positioned two levels higher than its standard sibling. When asked why it is called Honor GT Pro and not Ultra if it is really “two levels higher than” the Honor GT, the official underscored that there is no Ultra in the lineup and that the Honor GT Pro is the series’ Ultra. This dismissed earlier rumors about the possibility of the lineup featuring an Ultra variant.
To recall, the Honor GT is now in China and is available in 12GB/256GB (CN¥2199), 16GB/256GB (CN¥2399), 12GB/512GB (CN¥2599), 16GB/512GB (CN¥2899), and 16GB/1TB (CN¥3299) configurations. Fans waiting for the Pro model can expect that it will be offered in much higher price tags depending on the RAM and storage options. According to earlier leaks, the Honor GT Pro would boast a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a battery with a capacity starting at 6000mAh, a 100W wired charging capability, a 50MP main camera, and a 6.78″ flat 1.5K display with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Tipster Digital Chat Station recently added that the phone would also offer a metal frame, dual speakers, LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage.
