We now have one of the first waves of leaks about the anticipated OnePlus 15 model this year.
OnePlus is expected to update its numbered flagship series this year with the OnePlus 15. While the brand remains secretive about the phone, tipster Digital Chat Station has stepped forward to reveal its key details.
According to the account, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. The SoC is allegedly arriving in late September, and the Xiaomi 16 is expected to be the first to use it. Given this, we can bet that the OnePlus 15 will launch around the same timeline, or in the last quarter of 2025.
Moreover, DCS claimed that the OnePlus 15 will have a new front design that is comparable to that of Apple’s iPhones. According to DCS, the display is a 6.78″ flat 1.5K LTPO screen with LIPO technology. In general, the tipster claimed that the brand is focusing on giving the handheld a ‘light and simple” design. To compare, the OnePlus 13 in China features the brand’s huge circular camera island and back panels with curved sides.
Ultimately, the OnePlus 15 is said to offer a triple camera system with a 50MP periscope unit. To recall, the company’s current flagship, the OnePlus 13, has a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main camera with OIS + 50MP LYT-600 periscope with 3x zoom + 50MP Samsung S5KJN5 ultrawide/macro setup.
