Oppo Find X8S series details tipped

The key details of the Oppo Find X8S and Oppo Find X8S+ have leaked.

Next month, Oppo will reveal the newest additions to its Find X8 lineup. In addition to the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, the brand is also said to be presenting the S models of the series: the Oppo Find X8S and Oppo Find X8S+. Ahead of the phones’ arrival, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed their key specifications.

As reported earlier, the Oppo Find X8S is a compact model with a small 6.3″ display. The Find X8S+ will also share the same model as the other phone, but it will be sporting a bigger 6.59″ screen.

According to the account, both phones will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip. They also reportedly get the same flat 1.5K displays, 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support, IP68/69 ratings, X-axis vibration motors, optical fingerprint scanners, and dual speakers.

Aside from a better chip, DCS claimed that another upgrade highlight of the phones is the bigger battery. To recall, the vanilla Find X8 only has a 5630mAh battery.

Days ago, Oppo officially revealed the official design of the Oppo Find X8S, which looks similar to the earlier X8 models. Zhou Yibao, the Oppo Find series product manager, claimed that the Oppo Find X8S has the “world’s narrowest” display bezels and will weigh less than 180g. It will also beat the Apple phone in terms of thinness, with the official revealing that its side will only measure around 7.7mm.

Other details expected from the Find X8S include a 5700mAh+ battery, a 2640x1216px display resolution, a triple camera system (a 50MP 1/1.56″ f/1.8 main camera with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide, and a 50MP f/2.8 periscope telephoto with 3.5X zoom and 0.6X to 7X focal range), and push-type three-stage button. The Find X8S+ is expected to adopt many of these details in its bigger body.
