Oppo showcases Find X8S, shares more device details

Oppo gave fans a sneak peek of the upcoming Oppo Find X8S and shared some details about the phone, including its weight and thickness.

Oppo will launch the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, X8S+, and X8S next month. In preparation for the event, Zhou Yibao,  the Oppo Find series product manager, featured the compact phone in a recent clip and compared it to the Apple iPhone 16 Pro.

According to the manager, it will have the “world’s narrowest” display bezels and will weigh less than 180g. It will also beat the Apple phone in terms of thinness, with the official revealing that its side will only measure around 7.7mm. Based on these details, the official claims that the Find X8S is 20g lighter and nearly 0.4-0.5mm thinner than the Apple 16 Pro.

According to an earlier leak, the Find X8S has a display that is less than 6.3 inches. Reputable leaker Digital Chat Station claimed that it is a flat 1.5K display. The account also shared in a recent post that the phone will feature a metal middle frame and house the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip.

Other details expected from the phone include a 5700mAh+ battery, a 2640x1216px display resolution, a triple camera system (a 50MP 1/1.56″ f/1.8 main camera with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide, and a 50MP f/2.8 periscope telephoto with 3.5X zoom and 0.6X to 7X focal range), push-type three-stage button, optical fingerprint scanner, and 50W wireless charging.
