POCO India hinted at the global launch of its upcoming POCO F-series smartphone just a few days ago. Unlike the GT series, it will be an all-arounder smartphone that adheres to the philosophy of Everything You Need. The device will finally be released as a true successor to the legendary POCO F1. The brand has now confirmed that it is the upcoming POCO F4 5G smartphone.
POCO F4 5G Launch Hinted Globally
After the official press statement by POCO India, the brand has shared a teaser image which confirms the upcoming device as “POCO F4 5G” and it will launch soon globally in India. The teaser image doesn’t reveal anything much regarding the device and mentions the “Everything You Need” philosophy of the brand. The teaser image doesn’t give us a very little glimpse at the side frame of the device which again doesn’t reveal anything regarding the device.
The POCO F4 5G is expected to be a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi K40S smartphone in China. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset powers the Redmi K40S. This SoC is accompanied by an Adreno 650 GPU with a clock speed of 670MHz. Furthermore, the Redmi K40s device is powered by the same processor as the Redmi K40 device. The Redmi K40S, like the Redmi K40, has a 6.67-inch 120Hz Samsung E4 AMOLED panel. This display has an FHD+ resolution.
Inside this massive camera area, there is a 48MP Sony IMX582 with an f1.79 aperture. The addition of OIS support distinguishes this sensor from the Redmi K40. The OIS technology almost completely eliminates flickering and also prevents flickering while shooting video. In addition to the 48MP main camera, there is an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth camera. The front camera has a resolution of 20MP and an aperture of f2.5.
