Xiaomi India recently announced leadership changes for the next phase of growth as it plans to reaffirm its commitment to the Indian market. And today, the company made changes in the leadership of its subsidiary brand Poco. Himanshu Tandon, the previous Head of Sales at POCO India is now appointed as the new head of Poco’s India operations.
Earlier today, the Chinese OEM shared a statement on Twitter announcing that Himanshu Tandon will now lead Poco in India. Tandon succeeds Anuj Sharma, who is now heading to the parent company Xiaomi as a chief marketing officer of the India region.

Poco states that Tandon was one of the founding members of the POCO team and was instrumental in the company’s Indian expansion. He was previously the head of POCO India’s online sales and retail. Prior to joining POCO, he worked at Videocon Mobiles as a senior manager in charge of regional business and corporate strategy.
An interesting fact about Tandon is that He has the Guinness World Record for the most stores opened in one day. When he was working as a project manager for Xiaomi, he opened 505 outlets in a single day.
Poco also mentioned in the statement that it would focus on expanding its service center and after-sales support in India. The company will be opening over 2,000 new service centers across the country.
In related news, Poco also teased the global launch of the Poco F4 series. The company made a series of posts on Twitter teasing the Smartphone. We already know that the Poco F4 GT will be a rebranded Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and it is expected that the rest of the smartphones in the series will also be rebranded Redmi K50 series devices.
