Poco India CEO Himanshu Tandon is not pleased with how the Realme 12 5G. According to the executive, just by judging the device’s hardware, it is already obvious that it is inappropriately priced. With this, Tandon told buyers to consider this as a “red flag” and just wait for the release of the Poco X6 Neo.
The move is not entirely new to Poco, as it also happened to the former executives of Realme and Xiaomi, who both made fun of each company’s creations in past events. Now, Tandon is continuing this in order to boost Poco’s image in the Indian market.
After seeing today's launch, everyone should REALly wait for the 'Neo' upgrade.
Red Flags: Dimensity 6100+, LCD at 17k? 😮😕
Just an FYI, we use Dimensity 6100+ in #POCOM65G which is priced under 10k. #POCOX6Neo

Tandon’s comment came after Realme launched its latest offering, the Realme 12 5G. As the executive pointed out, the device offers Dimensity 1600 and an LCD but is priced at a high cost. He then compared Poco’s M6 5G, which has the same processor but only costs less than Rs 10,000.
With this, Tandon told followers and buyers to wait for the release of Poco X6 Neo, which the company seemingly announced this Thursday. This suggests that the new device will be offered at a more affordable price. This follows Tandon’s earlier tease, promising that the company will be offering the “most affordable 5G” device ever in the Indian market. Poco is reportedly targeting the Gen Z market using the X6 Neo, suggesting that the device will indeed be cheaper than competitors. However, it is important to note that the Poco X6 Neo could be a rebranded Redmi Note 13R Pro.
The speculation is supported by recent leaks, showing the huge similarities in the rear designs of the Poco X6 Neo and Redmi Note 13R Pro. With this, several details of Redmi Note 13R Pro are expected to also appear in X6 Neo. Some of them include the rear 108MP camera design of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, featuring two lenses arranged vertically on the right side of a rectangular island.
According to a recent report, the X6 Neo will be available in different configurations (with one report claiming a 12GB RAM/256GB storage option) and will sport a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC. Inside, it will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery that is complemented by a 33W fast charging capability. Meanwhile, its display is expected to be a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, with its front camera rumored to be 16MP.
