POCO M5 and POCO M5s just launched globally!

The most awaited POCO M5 and POCO M5s have been released with an affordable price tag! POCO M5 was released in online launch event on September 5 at 20:00 GMT+8. POCO M5 has a leather back cover and POCO M5s is the lightest POCO phone ever. Redmi A1 is also brand new phone coming out in the following days. Read this article to learn more about it.

POCO M5

POCO M5 comes with a 6.58-inch FullHD+ resolution LCD panel. This panel supports 90Hz refresh and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It has a 5MP drop notch front camera while the screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

The main camera of the device, which comes with a triple camera setup, is 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1. The main lens is accompanied by 2MP Macro and 2MP Depth sensors. The chipset is MediaTek Helio G99. This chipset has an octa-core CPU with 2 high-performance ARM Cortex-A76 cores and 6 efficiency-oriented ARM Cortex-A55 cores. On the GPU side, it brings Mali G57 and has satisfactory performance compared to its mid-range rivals.

Supporting 18W fast charging, the POCO M5 has a 5000mAH battery. This model, codenamed “Rock”, runs on Android 12-based MIUI 13. It is offered with 3 different storage options: 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB. The price tag starts at €189 for the lowest variant and goes up €229 try to get the 6GB/128GB model. If you plan to buy this model early, you can get it for 20€ less.

POCO M5s

POCO M5s, on the other hand, comes with a 6.43-inch FullHD+ resolution AMOLED panel. This device is actually a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10S. Its codename is “rosemary_p”. It has exactly the same features as the Redmi Note 10S.

Its rear camera is 64MP and has F1.8 aperture. 8MP Ultra Wide lens with 118 degree angle of view, it can easily capture any area. Finally, 2MP Macro and Depth sensors stand out in the cameras. Our front camera is 13MP resolution. POCO M5s and POCO M5 come with the same battery capacity and also POCO M5s brings 33W fast charging support. Compared to POCO M5 model, POCO M5s can charge much faster.

On the chipset side, it is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G95. This chipset is produced with 12nm TSMC manufacturing technology. Although it is weak in power efficiency compared to Helio G99, it is at a level that can handle your daily work without any problems. POCO M5s, unlike POCO M5, has a fingerprint reader on the edge, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack and IP53.

Device comes out of the box with MIUI 13 based on Android 12. It is offered with 3 different storage options: 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB.
