The listings of the Poco M6 Plus 5G and Redmi 13 5G have been recently spotted. Interestingly, based on the specifications details of the phones, it seems they would not be entirely new models from Poco and Redmi. Instead, the two phones are expected to be rebranded as global versions of the Redmi Note 13R.
The two phones appeared on various platforms recently, including on the IMEI, HyperOS source code, and Google Play Console. These appearances revealed that both the Poco M6 Plus 5G and Redmi 13 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip. Additionally, recent discoveries about the phones showed that they will offer Qualcomm Adreno 613 GPU, 1080×2460 display with 440 dpi, and Android 14 OS. In terms of memory, it seems the two will differ, with the leaks showing the Redmi 13 5G will have 6GB while the Poco M6 Plus 5G is getting 8GB. However, there’s a possibility that these RAM figures are just one of the options that will be offered for the models.
According to speculations, these similarities are huge indications that the two will just be a rebranded Redmi Note 13R, which debuted in China in May. To make things worse for anticipating fans, the Redmi Note 13R is practically just the same as the Note 12R, thanks to the small improvements made in the former.
With all this, if the Poco M6 Plus 5G and Redmi 13 5G are really just a rebranded Redmi Note 13R, it could mean that the two will adopt the following details of the latter:
- 4nm Snapdragon 4+ Gen 2
