POCO X4 GT spotted on Indian BIS certification; may launch soon

POCO is gearing up for the launch of the POCO X4 GT smartphone in various markets. The device’s global variant was previously spotted on the IMEI database with the model number 22041216G. The IMEI database also confirms its marketing name as “POCO X4 GT.” Now the smartphone has been listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification of India.

POCO X4 GT India launch imminent

The following news has been brought into the light on Twitter. He shared the screenshot of BIS certification which officially registers the upcoming POCO X4 GT device under the model number 22041216I. The alphabet “I” at the end of the model number represents the Indian variant. It’s worth mentioning that the device has been listed under Xiaomi, Mi and Redmi brands. The device could very well launch as rebranded Xiaomi 12i/Xiaomi 12X.

The device has been certified by multiple agencies, including the IMEI Database, IMDA, and now the Indian BIS. The device’s global, Indian, and Singapore presence has been confirmed by the following certifications. According to some rumours, it may be released under multiple names for different markets, with the device expected to debut in India as the Redmi Note 11T Pro. On the internet, there is a lot of confusion and leaks about the device.

The Redmi K50i will reportedly replace the Note 11T Pro in India. According to tipper Kacper Skrzypek, the device with model number 22041216I is the Redmi K50i. So it could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K50i or an entirely different device; we have yet to learn more about the smartphone. An official announcement or confirmation can provide more information.
